Airco Process Technology A/S was established in 2020 by employees with a combined experience of over 120 years in designing, building, and installing advanced process plants.

Next-generation biogas and CO2 capture technologies

Airco Process Technology has a clear vision to design highly efficient biogas upgrading solutions with optimal resource utilization, as well as CO2-capture plants for both biogenic and fossil CO2. The focus is on designing next-generation efficient and environmentally friendly solutions. As a technology provider, the company has taken the lead in supporting the green industry to become competitive and ultimately independent of subsidies.

The first plant was delivered to Kliplev, Southern Jutland, which today is one of Denmark’s largest biogas plants. The delivered upgrading plant ensures that approximately 9,000 Nm³ of biogas is upgraded every hour and sent to the gas grid with an absolute minimum of methane emissions, which is crucial.

Subsequently, the following types of plants have also been delivered:

• CO2 plants (meeting all quality requirements: food-grade, CCS, and PtX)
• CO2 handling terminal (for Denmark’s largest PtX plant)
• Bio-methane polishing plant (before liquefaction to LBG)
• Bio-methane liquefaction plant (production of LBG)
• etc.

 The future awaits

Airco Process Technology already delivers a wide range of process plants and solutions that support each other and the green transition. The company is also convinced that there will be further improvements, design optimizations, integrations, and special solutions in the future that can reduce both CAPEX and OPEX in future energy and PtX plants. They are always ready for a dialogue about opportunities and potential synergies.
